College Planning Appointments Staff met with more than 6,100 clients during one-on-one appointments to help them find the right college, learn how to pay for college, and file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Through these appointments, more than 2,800 FAFSAs were filed. We partner with school counselors, educators, and community-based agencies to provide our free services.
Programs, Webinars and Presentations EducationQuest hosted 535 webinars and in-person programs in English and Spanish to help Nebraska students plan for college. These events drew more than 43,636 attendees. Middle School Resources We help middle school students prepare for college through the Look2College program for 6th grade students and KnowHow2GO for 7th and 8th grade students. Resources include publications, presentations, a virtual career day, and online activities, including digital escape rooms. There were 59 programs that attracted more than 4,800 attendees.
Outreach Services EducationQuest staff partners with 70
community agencies statewide each year to reach Nebraskans whose circumstances make it difficult for them to pursue higher education. These can include low-income students, students with disabilities, adult learners and others. College Fairs EducationQuest partnered with the Nebraska Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (NACRAO) and school counselors to coordinate 48 in-person college fairs in Fall 2024.
